Change…is it really worth it?

Change…..

Change in how the business will work.

Change at the top.

Change in how much is expected of you.

Change in football managers. (Again).

Change in how you are made to feel…….

Is it worth it?

That’s the million dollar question I get asked all the time.

And I can understand why, when:

  •    you are faced with communication that is PANTS  and no one knows what the hell is going on.

….and when the people who do know – don’t say it often or LOUD enough.

  •  all you are looking for is SOME form of reassurance  – but no one gives it.
  •  big BRAVE  decisions have to be made. ….but no one (dare) makes them.
  •  you used to have a voice…but either you’ve lost it – or no one listens.
  • you question your reasons for even being there. do you make a difference?  does anyone care?
  • for the first time in a long time, you are no longer happy doing what you do.

Yep, I get all of that and I’m with you on it.

BUT I know this for sure. If things don’t change, they stay the same.  Hmm..is that always a good thing?

Of course, with any change anywhere – it’s not WHAT you do, it’s HOW you do it baby.

And that’s where the problems tend to come from.

Now, call me impatient – but I’m of the belief that you can only wait for so long before taking some kind of action to pave your way ahead.

Am I right so far?

And if you put your future (and present moment) in someone else’s hands – then, hell!

I think you’re asking for trouble.  Seriously.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m on your side. Which is why I’m saying it. Someone has to, before it’s too late.

So here’s my very friendly advice, and kick up the bum (that’s me being polite):

Make a flippin’ decision!!:

Are you going to get out of your comfort zone, move with the new, adapt to whoever is making the changes – stand up and be counted, and in the process – show just what you are made of?

OR….. are you going to sit tight and wait, and HOPE things get better?

YOU choose.  It’s. Your.Life.

Oh, and while you are thinking about it?…..Change is happening anyway.

If you’re ready to start making changes in yourself, give me a call. (And expect to move quickly).

I do like people who have high standards. For themselves.
