Don’t you just love it when people defy the odds?
Bournemouth have done just that.
Clawing their way inch by inch, from nowhere into the Premiership Football League.
It’s at times like this when we should think about all the people in our world (could it be you sometimes?) who don’t hold back from saying:
– ‘It’ll never happen…’
– ‘You’ve got no chance’
– ‘I’ll believe THAT when I see it’
– ‘It’s just not possible’
You see, for every person who says stuff like this, there is another who will say the opposite.
There’s a full squad of them in Bournemouth – led every step of the way by their inspirational Manager Eddie.
So if ‘little’ Bournemouth can achieve so much, ignoring all the doubters out there –and keeping that faith going for years – why the heck can’t you?
There IS something you have always wanted to do, but you’ve held back from because you don’t believe it’s possible, isn’t there?
I know this, because virtually every person I coach has a ‘dream’ that they’ve buried in the back of their mind, and it will stay there for years and become a ‘what if..’.
Don’t be one of those people.
Take a risk, take a chance, dare yourself against all odds- and fight like hell just like Bournemouth have.
And when you achieve it, you can turn around and take delight in saying :
‘I knew I could do it’ (which is a very polite ‘f*ck off’ to the negatives out there).
So well done Bournemouth, you deserve every bit of that success, and you’ve reminded us all of that very important life lesson –
Never, ever, give up.
