It’s Christmas. Almost.
A time for fun, family, friends …and for being grateful that you have what you have. It’s not about (never was) the stash of gifts – even if they do bring you pleasure.
Because arguably, the biggest pleasures – and ones we take for granted – are the luxuries that are not so easy to buy. Like the freedom we have, the health we have, and the basics we need to live our lives in a relatively safe environment. Every time we hear the latest news, we hear of so many people who don’t have those basics. Think of them, and hope that life gets better for them – doing what you can along the way to help.
Reflect on how far you’ve come this year and what your hopes are for the year ahead . And here’s a question for you: Are you where you thought you’d be at this moment in your life? If not, why not? (I’ll be pushing you to do something about that soon!).
Life ticks by much faster than we could ever realise, stopping for no one along the way.
So have yourself a merry little Christmas, and in the ‘manic ness’ (I’ve just made that word up) of the days ahead, stop for a moment to remind yourself just how lucky you are.
Merry Christmas,
