The REAL reason for conflict.

Conflict.
It’s all around us in differing shapes and sizes. We see it in businesses, we see it in families, we see it in sports, and we see it between countries.

Often wars are started because of it.

However,  don’t blame the person who started it – instead, consider what happens when they DO.

Do  you retaliate and ‘fight back’ – after all. your cause is worth fighting for isn’t it? Or do you reduce the level of power the conflict has to zero – by NOT participating?

Hmm… Conflict has a whole new meaning when you consider why it flares up so much, and WHO really causes that to happen.

Are we all guilty of allowing that to happen sometimes (and I’m not judging you)?

So instead, how about we hold onto our strength of feeling and we fuel it in a different way, a way that diffuses the conflict and leads to solutions or at least, respect of opinion? Oh, I’m not pretending for one minute that that’s easy, especially if you are at boiling point and/or you believe you have every right or reason to hit back.

But if conflict doesn’t get the attention it’s looking for, it might just well lose it’s power and fade away.

Now there’s a thought.

And by the way, thank you to the wonderful Wayne Dyer for his insightful quote (that I borrowed!).
