Now that Election fever has died down, it’s a good time to reflect – and to consider this:
– When there’s a choice, who would vote for you?
Of course I’m not talking about you being a politician.
What I’m talking about is MUCH MORE important than that.
This is about your influence over, and impact on other people in every day life.
You know, people like your colleagues, team mates, customers, boss, and ‘acquaintances’..(should we assume your family is a dead cert!?).
What reasons can you give people to put their faith in you?..
Well, how about these:
- Do you do what you say you are going to do?
- Are you supportive…and yet always honest?
- Do you stand up for what you believe in (and stand up for others)…even if it’s controversial?
- Do you inspire and motivate?
- Can you engage and connect with people from all walks of life?
- …are you ‘likeable’ and generally, a good egg?
If your answer is ‘YES’ to all of the above (as ALL politicians would!)..
Would. Everyone.Agree.With.You?
Hmmm….might be time to check that one out.
Being self-aware , and humble is where many people fall down. And, their perception of themselves is dramatically different to everyone else’s perception of them.
That’s not a position you would wanna be in baby. Trust me. (And that’s where having a coach like moi comes in handy!).
The bottom line folks is this. People are ‘casting their vote’ EVERY DAY. Whether you realise it or not.
But how many are for YOU?
