Zayn.
It was only a matter of time before someone said ‘enough!’. I’ve seen it, and dealt with it before and I’ll see it again.
As a matter of fact, it’s happening right now. Someone out there in the spotlight, is struggling.
Like Badly.
Life just seems perfect for anyone looking in. Fame, fortune, adoring fans, a different city almost every day.
What’s not to love?
Let me answer that for you: When you’re not in the right place mentally, physically and emotionally – just about everything.
Life in the spotlight becomes a living nightmare.
Of course, this doesn’t happen overnight – it’s been building for some time. And the signs have all been there (to someone who knows what they are looking for).
But no one sees. Until that is, the day they reach breaking point.
Sure there might have been an incident to spark their decision – and it could be anything. But that’s not the thing that tips them over the edge.
It’s just the final straw.
Everyone in the spotlight needs a ‘people reader’ – someone to help keep them grounded , to spot the tell – tale signs and get them ready to handle anything that comes their way.
Including: the break ups, the ‘contract ending’, the loss of interest by the fans who have found someone else to adore, the ‘life after being in the spotlight’, the being put on a pedestal …..and then taken off it – back into a life of normality (which may seem like the darkness to them).
What about Zayn…and in fact the rest of One Direction?
Good luck to Zayn (and all the other artists who have global fame ). I wish I could have reached him sooner – well before he hit the big time, because that’s when he needed help the most.
Managers, Agents, – take note! Managing someone ‘s career is what you do brilliantly. Managing the person inside – behind the ‘star’ ,is not….
….And that’s the bit that makes an artist shine for a long time, enjoy their career/life and be happy in and out of the spotlight .
So which direction is it now for Zayn? Should he live the ‘normal’ life he craves and misses? Or should he (as is expected) come back with a solo career?
Whichever he chooses, I hope he (and the other boys) takes with him some ‘Amana Walker’ advice.
And that is this….
‘Become Unbreakable’:
– Don’t lose sight of who you really are (and better find it if you’ve lost it!)
– Build your self esteem back to where it should be – rock solid
– Learn to manage your mind –no one else is allowed to do that for you
– When you can handle anything, you’re ready to go in the direction of your choice
– And if you struggle to do the above?……ahhh, then you’ll have to call me!
I’m ready. I’m a people reader, and specialist ‘spotlight coach’.
As long as I get a cuppa tea and (choc) biscuits – I’ll have you smiling in no time.
Hell yeah.
